Chromacraft — Privacy Policy

Introduction

Chromacraft ("we", "our", or "the app") is a professional color palette and design utility for Android, published by Rehan. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Chromacraft.

Chromacraft is designed to work fully offline. We do not require account creation, and we do not operate a backend server for core app features.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

Chromacraft does not require you to create an account or submit personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.

Data you create inside the app — including saved color palettes, favorites, theme preferences, and onboarding status — is stored locally on your device using Android secure storage (AsyncStorage).

Information collected automatically

Chromacraft does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services in its release build.

We do not knowingly collect:

Precise location data
Contacts, photos, or media files
Device identifiers for advertising or tracking
Browsing or search history

Information you choose to share

When you use Share or Copy features, you decide what to share (color codes, palette images, or gradient CSS) through your device's standard share sheet or clipboard. We do not receive, access, or store this data.

How We Use Information

Locally stored data is used only to:

Save and display your palettes and preferences
Remember your selected theme and settings
Provide export and clipboard functionality you initiate

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Data Storage and Security

All palette and settings data remains on your device unless you use your phone's system backup.
Chromacraft does not transmit your palettes or color data to external servers.
You can delete saved palettes within the app or clear all app data via Android Settings → Apps → Chromacraft → Storage → Clear data.

Permissions

Chromacraft requests minimal permissions. The app is designed to work without internet access.

Any optional feature added in a future update that requires additional permissions will be clearly explained and requested only when you use that feature.

Children's Privacy

Chromacraft is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.

Third-Party Services

Chromacraft does not integrate third-party login providers, ad networks, or social media trackers.

When you use the Android Share dialog, the service you choose (email, messaging, cloud storage, etc.) is governed by that provider's own privacy policy.

Data Retention

Data stored locally persists until you:

Delete individual palettes within the app
Uninstall the app
Clear app storage in Android system settings

We do not retain copies of your data on external servers.

Your Rights

Because Chromacraft stores data locally on your device, you can access, manage, or delete your data directly within the app or through your device settings.

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California may contact us with questions about data practices.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
